Head Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year
The S.A.A.B.C.A. Coach of the Year Award was instituted to honor those coaches who give selflessly of their time and efforts for the benefit of the players and community in the San Antonio Area.  These coaches have contributed a spirited and dedicated commitment to the ideals and goals of the S.A.A.B.C.A. and deserve to be recognized and celebrated each year. ​​

S.A.A.B.C.A. is very proud of all of our amazing coaches but we are always excited to recognize those coaches that stand out each year.

The S.A.A.B.C.A. would like to recognize our inaugural Head Coach and Assitant Coach of the year.

Head Coach of the Year
Chans Chapman(San Antonio Reagan)

Coach Chans Chapman led the 2017 Reagan Rattlers to their second State Final Game appearance in the last four years. After finishing second in district play, Coach Chapman was able to rally the players to 5 series wins, 4 by sweep, during the 2017 Play-offs. Coach Chapman is 10 wins away form joing the 400 win club. Coach Chapman had a previous stop at Garrison High School, before finding his home of 14 years at Reagan High School. 

Assistant Coach of the Year
Eric Jupe(San Antonio Brandeis)

Coach Eric Jupe jsut completed his 15th year as an assistant baseball coach, nine years at Brandeis High School. Coach Jupe has served many roles over the years. Most recently as a pitching coach, he helped lead his staff to consecutive years of sub-2.00 ERAs. While Coach Jupe has been at Brandeis since its inception, he has had stops at Somerville, Nixon-Smiley, and Vistoria Memorial.
